Ayo (Angelina) Dang was born on February 21st, 1992 in St. Louis, Missouri. At the age of 6, she started learning classical piano and continued lessons for 9 years. When she was 13, she received her first acoustic guitar and has been learning and playing ever since. Ayo moved to Arizona in December 2008 and was chosen to lead worship by her pastor. She orchestrated which songs were played by the praise team band and led with guitar and vocals. Although Ayo loved singing the most, she never officially got vocal lessons until she was 18 years old. She was accepted into Berklee College of Music with a scholarship and attended in 2010-2011 with a planned major of singing and songwriting. Ayo loves pop, rnb, hip hop, country, house, electronica, acoustic, jazz, and as well as other genre's.
