Mizta Sandman is one of those special artists that only come around every once in a blue moon. Love him or hate him you cannot forget him. Without the backing of a major label Mizta Sandman has amassed a supportive fan base on the west coast, and Mid West rivaling any of his peers, signed or unsigned. That fact is displayed every time one of his numerous hits thunders out of the speakers at the club or in a passing car, not to mention the various shows he performs.
Born from the original group 303 consisting of Ocean Bay, Scrap, Joker Loc, Scrap, Kj, and others, Mizta Sandman has always been a budding, aspiring star in the works. But until now, Mizta Sandman had yet to take advantage of his regional fame on a national level but that all ends 2012 when "THE AWAKENING", his second solo album hits the streets and stores. Powered by the singles "Move That thang around" and "Hood Star" Sandman is ready to represent the entire underground on a national scale with that classic Real life music.
According to Mizta Sandman and how he defines himself and his music, he states" Before Tomorrow came, Yesterday was the future. See the difference between me and these other artists, I'm not trying to get into the game I'm from the game, the bricks, the streets, whatever you wanna call it, I want a better living for my family and my partners" I 'm the voice of the ones in the Pens, Graveyards, and trapped on the block with no way out ya dig."
Known for his energetic flow, Stage Presence and unpredictable lyrics, Mizta Sandman represents pure energy on a level that even he cant fully explain. "From my voice, to my style, and my music, people just react and attach to my steez, Its a blessing" says Sandman.
No stranger to the rap world, Mizta Sandman has been putting fans in a trance through his music since he broke on the scene in 1997 with the release of "Don't Sleep" (Break Thru records/On The Grind Muzik). After releasing the debut album and scanning 15,000 units with very little promotions because of jail time being served, Mizta Sandman knew he was on to something major. After spending a year in the county jail for various warrants, Mizta sandman immediatley reemerged on the scene doing show after show.
Upon his release Mizta Sandman, Stan Vynel, Sir Jam, Leethal, Rie Rie, and Scrap decided to come to a collective artist agreement, and put out a group of various artists from various neighborhoods called Ghetto Nation. Ghetto Nation has placed music in several films catalouged by Maverick Distribution sold in Walmart, Target, Best buy and a host of other locations. Ghetto Nation was starting to catch on Nationally untill the realities of being from the streets caught up to various artists, which in turn began to spiral.
After experiencing the most horrid of all horrors Mizta Sandman was in two back to back spine tingling accidents, After flipping off of golden Mountain in 1999 after being released from jail, Mizt Sandman suffered a broken tailbone, Broken Collarbone and three blown disc to boot. In 2000 He was hit from behind by a car at a dead stop. which fractured his neck, and ripped and tore every muscle in his back.
After being told by the doctors he would never walk again, Mizta Sandman found that extra something deep in his soul "I'm not a quitter by all means my Moms taught be how to be a survivor period." After years of Aqua therapy and many blessings Mizta sandman is able to walk again, and wants to take the world by storm with his music.
Mizta Sandman recently won the Rap Wars held in Colorado a battle of all freestylers and has been featured on a number of projects from the west to the east, and has ghost written for alot of Artists since the car accident and looks forward to tuching down on the music scene once the release is set to go.

The Writing


Mizta Sandman is busy, busy, busy. Not only is he working on multiple CD releases at the moment, he’s also working on writing a rhyming dictionary for the industry. Mizta Sandman is writing a book about "the road through the entertainment industry." His lifelong love of the music is self-evident. Not only does he write music, he’s writing about the music. His music is a boon to listeners and his words on the hip-hop scene are enlightening, offering fans a deeper look at this underground hero and sharing with fellow artists vital knowledge of how the music biz works.


On Stage


Mizta Sandman – in addition to all his other work – is planning a 25-city tour. Plus, release parties are slated in California, Ohio, Colorado and New York for his upcoming album. Shows are scheduled with Scarface, Ice Cube, W.C. E-40 and Big Mike.
